Panel #1
As the ash scent came back to life after she stirred the remains, Seelys just had to close her eyes to feel the fire running throughout the dry roofs of the settlement. It was a faint odor, almost washed away by the rough presence of the sand and dirt. The oasis was quiet, happily resuming its existence, unaware of the dunes that were slowly closing in. Somehow, Seelys was disappointed.
She expected that trip to the ruins to be a more vibrant experience, something likely to kindle a powerful anger, or a deep sadness. But the quartz rift was and has always been a land of warmongering, and grief wasn't a feeling that one would be allowed to nurture for long.
